2022 UCI Road World Championships

Get ready for the Ride of Your Life, as the world’s best cyclists come together for the UCI Road World Championships, in our very own city! This is one of the world’s biggest annual sporting events, and the largest event ever hosted in Wollongong.

We’re excited to share our city with the world as we welcome over 1000 athletes and 300,000 spectators, and showcase Wollongong to a global audience of more than 2 million people.

The Championships span eight days and multiple events, including the team time trial mixed relay, individual time trial and road race events. The Championships include a range of men’s and women’s races, across age groups from junior to elite. There are also some great community participation events.
