A word of advice - do not let Mum cook on Mother's Day! There's so many ways to spoil the head of the family in the CBD. So get booking, head out and try something new that you'll all enjoy.
1. Create a masterpiece
We're lucky enough to have two paint and sip studios here in the CBD, with both The Sip Studio, and Pinot + Picasso offering up special workshops for Mother's Day. With a glass of your favourite BYO beverage in one hand and a paint brush in the other you’ll enjoy two hours of fun and creativity. You’ll be guided to recreate a painting, with all materials provided to head home with your very own masterpiece on canvas.

2. Tipsy Tapas or Bottomless Brunch

3. High tea in a brewery
For a day out that will really please everybody, Five Barrels Brewery have paired up with Dine in by Brooke Silk and Baking with SJ to offer an indulgent afternoon. On arrival, your mum will be treated to a glass of prosecco, or new 'Rosey Lea' Pale Ale - brewed with hibiscus and rose Earl Grey Tea. You'll be served traditional finger sandwiches, savoury canapes, scones with berry compote and cream, lemon curd tartlets, Turkish Delight macaroon and gingerbread brownies.
For the beer afficionados, there are 12 craft beers on tap for an afternoon of well-spent taste testing!
4. An afternoon of music
The smash hit Broadway musical Jersey Boys plays at the Win Entertainment Centre on Mother's Day. Jersey Boys is the inspiring rags to riches to rags again tale of 1960s pop group Frankie Valli + The Four Seasons, brought to life through their iconic hits such as Sherry, Big Girl’s Don’t Cry and Walk Like a Man.
5. A decadent morning
Have you visited the newly renovated and very luxurious North Bar @ Novotel North Beach? You’re in for a treat!
Book a cosy booth or a table at North Bar for a decadent afternoon. Included in each ticket is a champagne cocktail on arrival, selection of juice, teas & coffee. 7. Forever florals workshop

8. Free live jazz
The Shy Postie is Wollongong's newest venue. It's a cosy coffeehouse, meets art gallery, meets music venue, meets bar where all are welcomed. From 2pm-5pm on Sunday, local jazz royalty Eric Dunan brings his quintet to the Postie for three hours of high quality, easy-listening jazz instrumentals.
