Wollongong’s Comic and Pop Culture Festival Returns

The much-loved, free, all-ages comics and pop culture festival Comic Gong will return to the heart of Wollongong on Saturday 11 May.

Held across multiple locations, this event is expected to attract thousands of attendees throughout the day.

From 10am to 4pm, the Wollongong Town Hall, Wollongong Art Gallery, Arts Precinct and Wollongong Library will be alive with a huge range of shows, installations, roaming performers, trade and artist exhibition, cosplay competitions and more.

For the first time, the Wollongong CBD team will be bringing an outdoor performance stage to the Lower Crown Street Mall as part of the line-up. The area will feature site activations, a dance showcase and DJs entertaining visitors between 12pm – 5pm.

There are no planned road closures, however due to the popularity of this event we are likely to see an increase in road and foot traffic throughout the CBD.
