Ride Wollongong Family Fun Day

The Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling Family Fun Day will feature something for everyone. With community and cycling exhibitors, entertainment, food, cycling workshops and a family friendly atmosphere, immerse yourself in a celebration of healthy living, inclusivity and community spirit.

The Family Fun Day will feature inclusive exhibitors and contain accessible pathways, as well as reserved accessible parking and facilities.

Ride4Rotary Loop the Lighthouse 10 – 11am

The Ride4Rotary Loop the Lighthouse, runs from 10 – 11am, taking riders on a scenic loop along Flagstaff Hill and Endeavour Drive – one of the region’s most iconic coastal routes.

Kids and All Abilities Loop the Lighthouse from 11am

From 11am, the focus shifts to families and accessible riding, with the Kids and All Abilities Loop the Lighthouse – perfect for young kids and those looking for a relaxed, inclusive ride.

Cargo Bike Skills Challenge 12 – 2pm

This is a fun, interactive obstacle course designed to showcase just how practical, safe and enjoyable cargo bikes can be in everyday life. Participants will ride through a short, timed course that brings real-world scenarios to life – from loading groceries and school drop-offs to navigating bike lanes, parking at cafés and handling uneven surfaces. It’s a playful take on everyday riding, designed to highlight how cargo bikes fit seamlessly into daily routines.

Riders can take part in two categories – front-cargo bikes (such as box bikes and backfits) and rear-tail cargo bikes (including longtails and rear-rack cargo bikes). Participants compete individually, with light-hearted penalties for mistakes and live commentary adding to the atmosphere and keeping spectators entertained.
