Permit / Plug / Play Pilot Program
Wollongong City Council has received $500,000 under the Vibrant Steets Package – Permit/Plug/Play pilot program to support communities, businesses and councils to bring life and vibrancy to our streets. The Permit, Plug, Play Program seeks to streamline approval processes for temporary road closure-enabled events and deliver event enabling infrastructure.
Council has identified 2 street locations in the Wollongong CBD to focus on:
- Market Street, Wollongong
- Lower Crown Street, Wollongong
They're keen to work with local business and key stakeholders to understand if there is support for this project in your area. They'd also like to hear from you about what barriers exist to holding events in this space and what Council can do to make it easier and more cost effective for you to host events in this space.
