2025 World Triathlon Championship Finals Day 1

Get ready to cheer on some of the globe’s best triathletes when the 2025 World Triathlon Championship Finals come to Wollongong!

From Wednesday 15 to Sunday 19 October 2025, our city will host this fantastic international event, which is the crown jewel of World Triathlon’s annual calendar.

There’ll also be great opportunities for residents to watch this unique event from multiple points along the routes.

Day 1 highlights, Wednesday 15 October

• 5 – 7pm: Parade of Nations and Opening Ceremony in Lang Park, Wollongong
• You may also see athletes and their teams around Lang Park, Belmore Basin and surrounding areas as they familiarise themselves with course routes throughout the day.
