Renowned music photographer Chris Frape, and multimedia artist Eloise Cleary have joined forces to create an art installation paying homage to the gritty and down-to-earth Wollongong music scene.
The Creative Container (in its new home in the Arts Precinct) has been transformed into a mixed media diorama made up of photos, posters and memorabilia, celebrating the rich legacy of live music in the ‘Gong.
Eloise Cleary is a prolific multimedia artist based in Wollongong. A musician, graphic designer and collage artist, her range of artistic interests and skills make her uniquely placed to provide an insider’s perspective on this installation.
Chris Frape is a renowned photographer based in Austinmer, and a local icon who has shot thousands of live gigs since moving to the area in the late 2000s. Coming from the 90s indie scene himself, he has keen eye for the humanity and energy of live music.
