We’ve been working behind-the-scenes to set up a live site in the Crown Street Mall so fans can watch the Matildas play the Girls in Green (Republic of Ireland) in their first match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup tonight. Wollongong’s a proud sporting city and we’ve a long history and association with the Matildas in our city – from players and supporters to coaching staff, medical staff, and administrators.
We’re pleased to be able to offer this opportunity for our community to get together and cheer on our team. The Thursday Night Markets will also be on at the same time so you can grab dinner while you watch.
This is a free event! We recommend you wear a beanie, bring money for dinner and your loudest cheer!
The Thursday Night Markets start at 5pm with kick-off at 8pm.
