Illawarra Women’s Day of Dance and Culture 2025

Healthy Cities Australia is proud to present the 4th annual Illawarra Women’s Day of Dance and Culture (IWDDC), a joyful, inclusive celebration of women from all backgrounds through dance, food, and connection. IWDDC is a women-only event, a safe, welcoming space created by women, for women to come together, build friendships, share stories, and connect with local services.  

This year’s theme, “Take Me to the Islands,” brings the bold spirit and rich traditions of the Pasifika Islands. Led by Marion Taeo, Pasifika delegate and director of Empress Eventz, the program features traditional performances, soul-stirring island rhythms, and Pasifika-inspired cuisine. 

Tickets include: 

• Delicious island-style food and non-alcoholic refreshments 
• Live cultural entertainment and raffle prizes  
• Free women’s health checks and service information 
• Children are welcome under parent/carer supervision 

Tickets operate on a pay-it-forward model to support access for all women in the community. 

Funds raised support future women’s and children’s programs run by Healthy Cities Australia and our community partners.
