Made From Scratch is a multi-artform performance night offering artists space and support to test new ideas in front of a live audience.

Here, experimentation is key.

The beauty is you get to experience a little bit of everything. These events will showcase new works from local artists across performance, film, stand-up comedy, poetry, music, cabaret, circus and anything in between.

Line-up includes:  

MC and host, Ali Gordon, professional clown, artist and theatre maker.  

CRUSH Collective (Bella Whitcher, Leah Herbert and Ellen Houghton) performing excerpts from their work, girlblogging, part music gig, part Tumblr dashboard, and part…’just hanging out’.  

Poetry and spoken word from local poet and radio host, Skyla Yorke.

Gracie Love and Matt Tanks are an acoustic duo performing original music, a blend of folk harmonies and singer-writer honesty.  

Stunning contemporary dance from local artist Jack Tuckerman (Optimal Stopping). Jack is committed to bringing innovative and outstanding dance to regional areas. 

Local comedian Liam McCann performing his new work, Arguments of Ignorance arguing both for and against topics submitted by the audience. They can be submissions as mild, ridiculous or extreme as the audience wants.  

Hot off their latest Spiegeltent show, The Strangeways Ensemble will present one of their latest acts from their annual cabaret event. Expect hilarity, originality, beauty and lots of strange! 

Tegan Ware is an aspiring filmmaker, theatre director and writer, performing the first 10 minutes of CICADA, a fascinating play currently being developed through MERRIGONGX.
