On Saturday, 20th June, for the first time on the Illawarra Jazz Club (IJC) stage, the feature band will be Pete’s Marauders, with a trio of local guest vocalists — Nesta Whitlock, Annick Gouw (IJC Secretary), and Shelley Rae King (IJC President). Pete’s band is known for its tight musicianship, cheeky humour, and generous spirit, and adding three powerhouse singers to the mix promises an afternoon full of colour and variety. Nesta brings soulful warmth, Annick offers elegance and clarity, and Shelley is the pint sized vocalist with the powerful voice.
On Saturday, 27 June, the Illawarra Jazz Club hosts the incomparable Jive Bombers, a band that never fails to ignite the room. Their blend of rhythm, swing, and good-natured mischief is the perfect way to close out June on a high. The Jive Bombers bring decades of experience, a deep love of the music, and an infectious sense of fun that always gets our audience buzzing. Whether you’re a dancer, a listener, or someone who simply loves the atmosphere of a great live band, this is a band that delivers every time.
