Beast Good Food Eatery is a star example of doing one thing really well, and nailing your menu. Their mission is simple; to bring you the best Ramen on the South Coast! Tucked away on Crown Lane behind Wollongong Central shopping centre, Beast is a light-filled, welcoming, timber and tile space. Chef and owner Yuya Motoori moved from Tokyo to Sydney, and has since sharpened his skills in some of NSW best kitchens including Opera Bar, Bills in Darlinghurst and Milkwood in Berry.
Yuya took over the reins at Beast during the 2021 lockdown. Recognising that the Gong was crying out for authentic Japanese ramen, he set out to bring real flavours, fresh ingredients and traditional Japanese influences to the menu.
What's on offer?
- Ramen, ramen, ramen! Actually there's two main flavour variations, and they both rock. The Beast Ramen signature dish is Tonkotu Shoyu - a pork bone broth. Or you can choose a bonito and chicken broth.
- All aboard the bento train - there's four classic choices in bento boxes: Pork, Chicken Karaage, Japanese Curry and Gyoza. They're all made fresh in house every day.
